Kaitlin Gould is an NYC based actor, aerialist/mover, and creator of various mediums (theatre, film, choreography, and writing). She received her MFA in Acting (International) from East 15 Acting School in London. She is a Kansas City native, and has her BFA in Acting, and Design and Technical Theatre from Avila University in South KCMO. Kaitlin has worked with industry professionals and acted on stages in the US and Europe, including the Arcola Theatre and Tristan Bates Theatre in London, Edinburgh Fringe Festival, a two week residencies at Shakespeare's Globe in the UK, and GITIS (Russian Academy of Theatre Arts) in Moscow. She also has an eclectic background producing, writing, aerial training, composing and playing music, and theatre design.
Kaitlin has had an exciting and adventurous theatre and film career since graduating in 2106. She originated Anne of Cleves in the world premiere of Ladies in Waiting: The Judgment of Henry VIII at Edinburgh Fringe Festival. She filmed the indie feature Those of Us Left Behind with Walter Bros Pictures, and has filmed several virtual reality and Civil War reenactments with Wide Awake Films, including the Escape of John Doy, which is streaming on CuriosityStream. She has been a part of various regional premieres including: played Ellen Clarke in the Belfast Girls by Jackie McCarrick (Fishtank Theatre, dir. Heidi Van), and Robot in Lindsay Adam's Her Own Devices (Kansas City Public Theatre, dir. Elizabeth Bettendorf Bowman). And she continues to write and producer her own work.
Her play, Mirrors, which addresses eating disorders, had its NYC debut in June of 2022 with NY Theatre Festival. The workshop production with Kansas City Public Theatre was nominated for The Pitch's Best of Kansas City 2020. Her short film Expectations has been selected for various festivals, and won Best Cinematography with Toronto Feedback Female Film Festival. And, she created, choreographed, and filmed her own aerial silks act, Season 2: Episode 3, which has also screened at select film festivals, including the New Ohio Theatre's NYC Indie Theatre Film Festival (where Expectations screened the following year).
Her movement training includes biomechanics, Laban, and Alexander Technique methods (AT Motion, Holly Cinnamon). At East 15, she trained with Tracy Collier and Marcin Rudy; and, since devising Scream in Blue at KC Fringe Festival, she has started exploring the world of Butoh dance (Logan Black, Vangeline Theater). She also trains aerial silks and circus arts at various institutions in NYC, including: The Muse, Aerial Arts NYC, Vital (Brooklyn Location), Body & Pole, and CirqueHaus. In Kansas City she has trained with Kelsey Aicher, Samantha Jo Davis, and Elena Sherman of Circus Scorpius.
She is represented for film, commercial, and print in the Kansas City region by Exposure Model and Talent.
